We Worked Our Butts Off Yesterday!!!
Kelly, my 18 yr. old daughter & I spent the day setting up my 22 yr. old daughter Megan's new apartment yesterday! WOW! What a job that was! Kelly & I hauled up an entertainment center, end table, coffee table, microwave, lamps, dishes, cookware, and a new vacuum cleaner up to the second floor of the complex Then we went & picked up an 8 foot couch and with the help of Kelly's friend Kelsie, hauled that up last! MY BODY IS KILLING ME TODAY! ROFL!
But the apartment is REALLY nice, in a good area of town within 2 blocks walking distance of everything she could need! The managers on site are phenomenal people who really were very kind to us all! There is a huge outdoor pool, a huge indoor heated pool, hot tub, saunas, tanning bed, weight room, billiards room, community TV room, kickboxing room, and a huge area for entertaining (like parties and such). All this included in the extremely reasonable rent!!! Kelly is quite jealous now! She really likes it there & has begun the monotonous begging to let her move in with Megan! LOL! I'm really excited for Megan to see it!!
Despite shopping mostly at Goodwill and Dollar Stores, we've put together a very nice space for her with great furniture and new kitchenware for a small amount of money! Grandpa Doug & Grandma Betty helped a lot! They bought Megan's couch, coffee table, end table, entertainment center, towels, and new vacuum for her! They're also going to get her cable TV service setup so she won't be bored stiff! Many thanks to you MOM & DAD & Megan says, "THANK YOU GRANDMA & GRANDPA!!!". Kelly says, "MY BODY HURTS & Megan damn well better appreciate EVERYTHING EVERYBODY has done! Especially all the heavy lifting I did!"

Is this your first post? Welcome to the blogworld. Now nobody at all can tell you to buzz off.
It's funny how there can be two couples, all the same age, one couple are first time parents, the other are first time grandparents.
The way Tammy and I are going we'll be in our 60s when we have our first kid.
Yep! My first & only blog! I have no idea where to begin so I just decided to make it something my family back home could log on & read for updates on us! Hopefully before long, I'll learn how to put up pictures!
P.S. ~ I think the older you are to have kids the better! But then again, being a grandma at 42 does have positive advantages to being able to keep up with an active little boy! LOL!
Keep on bloggin', Sister!
I noticed you took a day off in "the other" blog.
Hope all is well.
Is there any need for a little dinette table and a couple of chairs?
Mrs. Larry bought it at a garage sale thinking that daughter #2 would need it and found out that it wasn't needed.
I think she paid about $75 for it and it appears to be in perfect shape. Kind of a country butcher block look.
Let me know
